We put up only one Pen Show Tray each month.

Please understand that putting a pen in your shopping cart does not secure that pen for you.
Someone could have the same pen(s) in their cart at the same time and if they complete the checkout process before you do, the pen will automatically fall out of your cart.

Pen Description
01  Parker Parkette Burgundy Pearl, Fine Nib
Condition: B-. No brassing, chips, cracks, dings or significant scratches. Considered one of the pens that saved Parker during the depression years and their first foray into the lever filler. This one is a beauty with very slight bowing at the opening for the lever, which is why the rating is not B+. The fine 14K nib offers a line width of 0.5mm. Lever Filler. Length: 413/16" (122mm) capped, 513/16" (148mm) posted. Price: $125.00
02 Bexley Phoenix Black, Fine Stub Nib
Condition: B+. No brassing, chips, cracks, dings or significant scratches. From our show testers this gem sports a fine stub nib ground by Linda. 0.5mm down stroke. Nib plating is mostly gone. Piston Filler. Length: 51/16" (135mm) capped, 613/32" (163mm) posted. Price: $150.00
03 Parker Lady Duofold Black & Pearl, Semi-Flex Fine Nib
Condition: B. No brassing, chips, cracks, or significant scratches. These pens are normally seen with a ringtop, but on occasion you will find them with a ringtop and clip. As is typical with these pens, this one has some ambering to the body and cap, but it is still a beautiful pen. Lucky curve 14K nib offers a line width of 0.5mm to 0.8mm. Button Filler. Pen Length: 45/8"(118mm) capped, 55/8"(143mm) posted. Price: $165.00
04 Parker Thrift Time Duette Jr., Extra Fine Nib
Condition: B. No brassing, chips, cracks, dings or significant scratches. Considered a thrift time pen in its era, you don't see these very often. While some slight ambering which is typical of these pens, this one is in great condition. These are pens you just don't see very often. The 14K gold Parker nib offers a line width of 0.4mm. Button Filler. Pen Length: 4916"(116mm) capped, 59/16"(141mm) posted. Price: $145.00
05 Parker Junior Gray Vacumatic, XXF Nib
Condition: B. No brassing, chips, cracks, dings or significant scratches. The trim on the blind cap on this one is gold. It was missing and the only one I had was gold filled. Some ambering to the body but an exceptional user pen for those who like the finer nibs. 14k Parker nib offers a line width of 0.3mm. Vacumatic Filler. Pen Length: 41316"(122mm) capped, 57/8"(149mm) posted. Price: $165.00
06  Pelikan M200 Anthracite, Medium Nib
Condition: A1. No brassing, chips, cracks, dings or significant scratches. While collecting Pelikans, Linda was able to get a couple of Anthracites. This one is NOS and has never been inked. Made in 2002 thru 2004, these are extremely hard to find. If you would like this one tuned, just let us know, as this one has never been inked. Also with a medium nib this is eligible for a grind at our normal grind rates. Medium nib. Piston Filler. Pen Length: 41516"(126mm) capped, 5 1316"(148mm) posted. Price: $275.00
07 Sheaffer Milady Balance Roseglow, Medium Nib
Condition: B. No brassing, chips, cracks, dings. The most desirable of the Balance colors. A wonderful pen for the user. The 14K nib offers a line width of 0.5mm. Lever Filler. Pen Length: 41316"(122mm) capped, 511/16"(145mm) posted. Price: $155.00
08  Parker Jade Duofold Ringtop, Fine Nib
Condition: B+. No chips, cracks, dings or significant scratches. This is a beauty and with the wide cap band. Most likely from the late 1920s. The fine 14K Duofold nib offers a line width of 0.5mm. Button Filler. Pen Length: 434"(121mm) capped, 53/84"(146mm) posted. Price: $155.00
09 Parker Challenger Black, Fine Nib
Condition: B-. No brassing, chips, cracks, or significant scratches. Great user pen that looks amazing. Some wear to the nib imprint making it difficult to read. 14K Parker fine nib offers a line width of 0.5mm. Button Filler. Length: 518"(130mm) capped, 51516"(151mm) posted. Price: $145.00
10 Waterman Sea Green Marble Carené, Medium Nib
Condition: B+. No brassing, chips, cracks, or significant scratches. This one is from Linda's collection. The hardest of the Carené colors to find. Cap fits tight and is not loose like so many of this type of pen. Just a true stunner. 18K Medium nib has a line width or 0.6mm. Cartridge/Converter Filler. Length: 53/4" (146mm) capped, 57/8" (149mm) posted. Price: $295.00
11 Pelikan M30 Black & Rolled Gold, Medium Nib
Condition: A2. No brassing, chips, cracks, or significant scratches. Pelikan produced these reliable piston fillers from 1965 to 1970. This one is new old stock with its original box. The cap has been professionally engraved with “Schering AG Berlin” which is a pharmaceutical company headquartered in Berlin. The 14K medium nib produces a line width of 0.6mm. Piston Filler. Pen Length: 51/4"(133mm) capped, 55/8"(143mm) posted. Price: $165.00
12  Sheaffer Craftsman Burgundy Touchdown, Medium Nib
Condition: B+. No brassing, chips, cracks, or significant scratches. Made from Radiate II, this one is a bit of an anomaly. For this to be a true Craftsman the nib would be a #33. I suspect that somewhere in the 60s it was sent in for a repair and a #5 FeatherTouch was put on as a replacement. It is a wonderful writer with the 14K #5 FeatherTouch nib and offers a line width of 0.5mm. Touchdown Filler. Length: 53/16" (135mm) capped, 61/16" (163mm) posted. Price: $100.00
13 Monteverde Invincia Stealth Black, Fountain Pen Ink Rollerball
Condition: B+. No brassing, chips, cracks, or significant scratches. This one is quite interesting. While the tip is an ink-ball, it uses fountain pen ink with either the included converter or a cartridge. This is a rather neat pen and we have had a couple of them over the years. The ink-ball tip provides a 0.4mm stroke. Cartridge/Converter Filler. Length: 53/8" (137mm) capped, 61/8" (156mm) posted. Price: $70.00
14 Sheaffer Balance Carmine,  Fine Nib
Condition: B+. No brassing, chips, cracks, or significant scratches. A beautiful pen in a great color that is simple and yet elegant. 14K #3 Sheaffer nib offers a line width of 0.5mm. Lever Filler. Length: 518"(130mm) capped, 515/16"(151mm) posted. Price: $155.00
15 Namiki Black Falcon, SB Nib
Condition: B+. No brassing, chips, cracks, or significant scratches. When the Falcon was originally released, they used the “Namiki” name since it denoted the company’s higher end pens. Only a few years later they started using the “Pilot” name instead making these early Namiki models hard to find. The parts are not interchangeable and many consider these earlier versions to be superior. This gem has a new old stock Namiki 14k SB nib that offers a line width of 0.7mm. This is one of the best Falcons we have had. Complete with CON-50 converter. Very hard to find and desirable pen. Cartridge/Converter Filler. Length: 53/16" (132mm) capped, 57/8" (163mm) posted. Price: $225.00
16 Sheaffer 5-30 Jade Ringtop, Fine Nib
Condition: B+. No brassing, chips, cracks, dings or significant scratches. Sheaffer's introduction of colored celluloid caused a sensation in the pen word during the 1920s. This 1920s ringtop model 5-30 is made in their early Jade celluloid and the color is bright. There is a bit of discoloration to the end of the barrel and middle of the cap. The 14k fine nib writes with a smooth, firm line. Lever filler. Pen Length: 43/4"(121mm) capped, 6"(152mm) posted. Price: $145.00
17 Lamy AL-Star Lilac Special Edition, Medium Nib
Condition: B+. No brassing, chips, cracks, or significant scratches. We picked up a couple of Lamys a year ago to simply test them out and get a feel for them. They are great pens but just don't fit our love of vintage. Excellent condition, just not our style. Medium nib offers a line width of 0.6mm. Cartridge/Converter Filler. Pen Length: 57/16" (138mm) capped, 63/4" (171mm) posted. Price: $30.00
18 Sheaffer Nostalgia Vermeil, Broad Nib
Condition: B+. No brassing, chips, cracks, dings or significant scratches. In the 1970s and 1980s, Sheaffer was inspired by some of their most beautiful pens of the 1920s and created the Nostalgia line of pens with metal overlays. This version is vermeil (gold plated sterling silver) and was made towards the beginning of the run. The earlier pens have single tone 18k yellow gold nibs. These are gorgeous pens made of high quality materials and the 18k broad nib is an exceptionally smooth writer giving a line width of 0.85mm. Vintage Sheaffer converter included. Cartridge/Converter Filler. Pen Length: 558"(130mm) capped, 611/16"(152mm) posted. Price: $425.00
19  Pelikan M400 Tortoise, Medium Semi Flex Nib
Condition: B+. No brassing, chips, cracks, or significant scratches. Pelikan’s M400 is a classic and the tortoise stripe is one of the most beautiful colors the company made. It has great transparency. This is the earlier version made from the 1982 through 1997. The nib makes this one even more special. It features a lovely flexible 14k medium gold nib that gives a line variation of 0.6mm to 1.0mm. Piston Filler. 5" (128mm) capped, 6 58" (146mm) posted. Price: $295.00
20 Sheaffer BCHR Student Special, Broad Nib
Condition: B+. No brassing, chips, cracks, dings or significant scratches. Beautiful check pattern in hard rubber. This early Sheaffer is all about the nib. I am pretty sure this is a factory replacement nib as originally these were a #22. Rare 14k Sheaffer broad nib writes with a smooth 0.9mm line width. Lever filler. Pen Length: 49/16"(116mm) capped, 511/16"(145mm) posted. Price: $145.00
21  Japanese STORK Red Celluloid, Medium Nib
Condition: B+. No brassing, chips, cracks, dings or significant scratches. Parker’s Vacumatic was a sensation when it was released. Pen companies around the world emulated the stacked celluloid pattern Parker used for decades. This pen was made in Japan in the early-1950s using a Vacumatic-like stacked red celluloid that really pops. The clip is also visually striking and unique. Marked “STORK” on the barrel. The gold plated steel Posting nib writes like a western medium and is super smooth. It produces a line width of 0.6mm. Quite the rare pen. Aerometric Filler. Pen Length: 5" (127mm) capped, 55/8" (143mm) posted. Price: $250.00
22 Sheaffer Junior Balance Carmine, Extra Fine Nib
Condition: B. No brassing, chips, cracks, or significant scratches. We are rather fond of the Carmine and this beauty is no exception. 14K Junior nib offers a line width of 0.4mm. Lever Filler. Pen Length: 41316"(122mm) capped, 55/8"(143mm) posted. Price: $135.00
23 Bexley Phoenix Black, Broad Stub Nib
Condition: B+. No brassing, chips, cracks, dings or significant scratches. From our show testers this gem sports a broad stub nib ground by Linda. 0.8mm down stroke. Nib plating is partially gone. Piston Filler. Length: 51/16" (135mm) capped, 613/32" (163mm) posted. Price: $150.00
24 Parker Lapis Lady Duofold, Broad Stub Nib
Condition: B+. No brassing, chips, cracks, dings or significant scratches. This charming ringtop has wonderful color preservation and features a sweet nib, hard to find one better. It’s Canadian production with a correct 18k gold broad stub Duofold nib. It would be hard to find a nicer Lapis Duofold in this size. The 18K offers a down stroke 0.8mm and a cross stroke of 0.4mm. Button Filler. Pen Length: 411/16"(119mm) capped, 513/16"(148mm) posted. Price: $195.00
25 Pilot L-150 Red, Fine Nib
Condition: B+. No chips, cracks, dings or significant scratches. This striking pen was made in 1965 and has all sorts of design features that scream “mid-century.” Unlike many 1960s Pilots that require discontinued cartridges or converters, this one uses modern cartridges or the CON-40 converter. The unique angular 14k gold fine nib writes with a line width of 0.4mm. Cartridge/Converter Filler (not included). Pen Length: 55/16"(135mm) capped, 59/16"(141mm) posted. Price: $135.00
26 Sheaffer Black Imperial, Medium Nib
Condition: A2. No brassing, chips, cracks, dings or significant scratches. Sheaffer’s Imperial line is a stunner and this one is no exception. We believe this pen is NOS and has no signs of being inked but cannot say for certain. Uses slim targa converter or cartridge. The 14K medium nib gives a line of 0.6mm. Cartridge/Converter Filler. These are getting rare to find in this condition. Pen Length: 53/8"(137mm) capped, 511/16"(145mm) posted. Price: $125.00
27 Parker Burgundy Challenger, Fine Flex Nib
Condition: B. No chips, cracks, dings or significant scratches, slight brassing on ball of clip. This full-sized pen is perfect for everyday use. It features a Parker Duofold 14k Fine nib that was likely a period replacement. 14k nib offers a line variation of 0.9m down stroke with a 0.5mm cross stroke. Button Filler. Pen Length: 5"(127mm) capped, 61/8"(156mm) posted. Price: $185.00
28 Sheaffer Statesman Black Snorkel 1st Year, Extra Fine Nib
Condition: B+. No brassing, chips, cracks, dings or significant scratches. Sheaffer’s Snorkel is one of the most interesting and fun vintage pens to own and use. This one is a first year model (which is getting hard to find) with a 14k gold Snorkel tube and correct early nib.  Snorkel Filler. Pen Length: 55/8"(143mm) capped, 67/16"(164mm) posted. Price: $155.00
29 Pilot Elite Black (Full Size), Medium Manifold Nib
Condition: B+. No brassing, chips, cracks, dings, or significant scratches.

Pilot’s Elite series of pens were their signature models in the late-1960s and early 1970s. This later full-sized version features a transparent ink window at the bottom of the section. It was made on December 5, 1968. The 14k gold manifold nib is an exceptionally smooth writer with a line width of 0.5mm. Uses Pilot CON-40/CON-20 converters or modern cartridges (not included).  Lever Filler. Pen Length: 51/2"(1140mm) capped, 6"(152mm) posted. Price: $145.00

30 Sheaffer Stubby Ebonized Pearl Balance, Fine Nib
Condition: B+. No brassing, chips, cracks, dings or significant scratches. Ebonized Pearl is one of the most attractive colors of Sheaffer’sBalance line and this one is in excellent condition. This stubby Balance has the same diameter as the full-sized pens while being shorter in stature. Neat personalization Frances Byers on the barrel. 14k fine nib. Lever Filler. Pen Length: 413/16"(122mm) capped, 511/16"(145mm) posted. Price: $150.00
31 Sheaffer Burgundy Imperial, Extra Fine Nib
Condition: B+. No brassing, chips, cracks, dings or significant scratches. This elegant pen is a beauty that is a joy to write with. Uses slim targa converter or cartridge. 32 Sheaffer FAT Touchdown Black, Broad Nib
Condition: B+. No brassing, chips, cracks, dings or significant scratches. In 1949 Sheaffer introduced their Touchdown filler and produced for only a year a series of large "fat" pens that are similar in size to earlier Triumph models. This one, in classy black plastic, features a smooth broad nib. It was retipped many years ago and it was done well. It's a smooth writer that gives you all of the benefits of a hard to find broad Sheaffer nib without the high price of a factory one. 14k fine TRIUMP nib. Touchdown filler. Price: $175.00
33 Sheaffer Balance Admiral, Gregg Shorthand Nib
Condition: B+. No brassing, chips, cracks, dings or significant scratches. In the 1940s and 1950s, Sheaffer offered special nibs for use with the Gregg Shorthand system of writing. They’re firm extra fines and feature the Gregg Shorthand mark on the section. It’s a harder to find pen ready for use. Slight ding to the barrel near the imprint, otherwise in excellent condition. 14k Sheaffer Gregg Shorthand nib. Touchdown filler. Price: $175.00
34  Lamy Safari 2016 Dark Lilac, Medium Nib

Here’s a chance to add a hardly used example to your collection. Includes original box. Cartridge/Converter Filler. Pen Length: 51/2"(140mm) capped, 69/16"(167mm) posted. Price: $95.00

37 Sheaffer Pastel Gray Valiant Snorkel, Medium Nib

Snorkel Filler. Pen Length: 55/8" (143mm) capped, 63/8" (162mm) posted. Price: $145.00
38  Sheaffer Balance Oversize Roseglow, Pencil
Condition: B+. No brassing, chips, cracks, dings or significant scratches. Rose Glow is the most desirable of Sheaffer’s Balance colors and finding the largest size they made is quite difficult. This matching oversized pencil is even harder to find than the fountain pen. Oversized fountain pens in this color often fetch $1500 or more. It has minimal age-related shrinkage as shown by the smaller than usual gap between the 2 parts of the pencil. Don’t miss this chance to add a rare pencil to your collection. Fully functional pencil. Pencil Length: 59/16" (130mm). Price: $275.00
39 Sheaffer Burgundy Valiant Snorkel Set, Broad Nib
Condition: B+. No chips, cracks, dings or significant scratches. If you weren't impressed with the medium nib, maybe this "broad" is more to your liking. Don't miss out on this one, original clamshell case included. Snorkel Filler. Pen Length: 57/16"(135mm) capped, 511/16"(143mm) posted,  Pencil Length: 51/16" (126mm). Price: $225.00

We grade pens according to the following condition scale. Within a grade, we use + or – to indicate shades of variation; for example, a pen that is B+ falls into the B grade and shows so little use that it is only marginally not A2.

Condition Description
A1 “Mint” (uninked). Shows no signs of use.
A2 “Mint” (inked).& As for A1 but may have been dipped or inked.
N1 New Old Stock (NOS). Unsold dealer or manufacturer stock. Not dipped or inked but may show shop wear.
N2 New Old Stock (NOS). Same as N1 but may have been dipped.
B Excellent. All parts original and showing only very slight signs of use. Very slight surface scratching; very minor discoloration or brassing; crisp imprints; no significant dings.
C Fine. All parts original. Some discoloration and brassing; light or worn imprints; small dings to metal or scratching on plastic.
D Fair. Some parts possibly not original; significant brassing or discoloration; very worn imprints; dings and scratches. Maybe a good writing pen or usable for parts.

All of our tray pens are fully restored to good writing condition unless otherwise noted. By “good writing condition” is meant, in addition to proper function, that nibs are aligned, set for reasonable flow, and not scratchy. Particularly nice writers are so noted in their descriptions.

Except for pens that are described as being in “mint” or NOS condition, these are used pens. We guarantee all of our restoration work (resacing, nib adjustments, etc.), and we ship the pens in good working order. However, they are still used pens, and we cannot make the same guarantees against defects or for length of life that their manufacturers made (such as Sheaffer's Lifetime guarantee).

CAUTION
Empirical evidence collected over several years has made it clear that some Noodler’s inks can and will destroy pens. Many vintage pens, because of the materials of which they are made, are especially susceptible to destruction by these inks. For this reason, our guarantee is void if a pen you purchase from us fails after you have used any Noodler’s ink in it. For more information, read our article on inks.
