This is one of the nicest modern pens made from the designs of over 100 years ago. Constructed from a solid brass rod with a layer of nickel plated beneath the 23K gold electroplated finish, it is a distinctive writing instrument with significant heft. An intricate scrolled pattern has been engraved into the surfaces of the barrel and cap. The nib combines the two-tone beauty of 18K gold and a silver-colored palladium-plated chevron. As a finishing touch, each pen's individual serial number and the W.A.Sheaffer Pen Co.Pat.No 896,861 are engraved near the lever. This one is number 2694 of 6000. We are unsure what ever happened to the bottle of ink that came with this one but they can be found in places like eBay or a Pen show.
The 18K medium nib offers a line width of 0.5mm when used with no pressure.
